Parent

It's hard to find the words to describe the impact Louise has had on our lives. Our two boys both had severe speech disorders and were helped/cured by Louise. We will be forever grateful for this.

Her engagement with our children was amazing. Not only was she totally engaged with them (especially considering they were initially resistant), but also her constant communication with us as parents was exceptional. Being a parent of a child with a learning difficulty / disorder it can be extremely stressful. You feel helpless and frustrated and despite doing everything you can to help them, you still rely so much on the support of speech therapists, in our case Louise, to help your child talk. Louise totally understood the importance of the relationship with parents and how much support and communication is needed.

In summary she is friendly, wonderfully talented, great with parents and exceptional with children.

Specialist Speech and Language Teaching Assistant

I have worked alongside Louise for eight years in a primary school setting and she is one of the most dedicated therapists that I have ever worked with. She is passionate about Speech and Language and SLI and always delivers a fully engaging range of activities and programmes, tailor made to target each child’s individual needs. Louise has a great rapport with the children that she supports and as a parent herself, understands the anxieties that some parents may experience. Louise has a vast breadth of knowledge, skills and experience in her field and always provides a high quality service to the many children and families that she helps.

Our son was diagnosed with Verbal Dyspraxia and Severe Speech Delay at the age of 3.  I'll be honest with you, we were devastated, we had envisaged that he would never be able to talk properly or at least to any level of understanding and being the gorgeous, loving and friendly boy he is, we were worried about how people would react and treat him as he grew older.

Then we met Louise and through fun and imaginative games, her kind nature and a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding, our little boy has grown from a child who could only say uh-uh-uh (we used to use Makaton to communicate) to now a confident boy who will often call his Daddy on the telephone for a chat  (this is something my husband never thought would happen and who is still astounded at the level of communication he has with our son through this media).

What's more, my son looks forward to his speech therapy sessions.  Will  the speech therapy session involve 'the magic door', the search for treasure or a board game incorporating a favourite character/game/programme personally created by Louise?

And for us as parents?  Well, Louise has been able to answer so many questions in a way that we can understand and will work with us and give us tips on things we can do at home.

I can not recommend her highly enough and we have formed the perfect partnership with Louise to do the best for our son.

I've had the privilege of knowing Louise professionally and personally for 12 years. As well as being an excellent speech and language therapist, she is also one of the most professional and dedicated people I know.

I was fortunate enough to work in the same school as her for 8 years and was able to see first-hand how she deals with children. The patience she has with each child and the focus she gives to every individual's development is rewarded by the incredible progress they make under her care.

Recently I have had concerns about my youngest son’s speech, and was advised by a doctor to get a professional assessment for him. I can think of nobody’s opinion and advice I would trust more than Louise’s.

Based on both professional and personal experience, I would wholeheartedly recommend Louise to anybody who requires a speech and language therapist for their child.
